Communication between our service and residents of the Municipality of Athens, for information or to schedule an appointment, is conducted through the email account dam_a_info@attica.gr, for inquiries, expedite requests, certificates of legal residence, as well as certificates according to the provisions of article 20 of case 7Α of paragraph B of Law 4251/14. All other correspondence is conducted only via postal mail (registered letter) or through a courier service.

The public service is provided exclusively by appointment, Monday through Thursday, from 09:00 to 14:00.

Following the announcement from the Ministry of Migration and Asylum, starting from Wednesday, November 16, 2022, applications for the Initial Residence Permit for Third-Country Nationals will be exclusively processed through the Ministry’s Electronic Platform (Government Gazette B 5801/14.11.2022) : applications.migration.gov.gr/metanasteusi

The third-country national, upon successful submission of the application for the electronic renewal of their residence permit, receives a document at the email address they have declared, which constitutes a certificate within the meaning of paragraph 4 of Article 9 of Law 4251/2014 (‘Blue Certificate’). It is noted that, by virtue of the above certificate and for as long as it is valid, the holder thereof resides legally in the country and enjoys all rights derived from the residence permit for which the renewal is requested, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 5 of Article 9 of Law 4251/2014. This certificate ceases to be valid automatically if a decision to grant the residence permit or a decision to reject the application is issued.
