9.3 Autonomous – Former Spouses of all Greek expatriates, Article 81, paragraph 2 (Law 4251/14) / Issuance (with previous residence permit as a spouse to a Greek expatriate)

Duration: 1 year

  1. Certified photocopy of a valid passport or other travel document recognized by our country.
  2. Certified photocopy of the Special Identity Card for expatriates or other residence permit.
  3. Printout of insurance capacity (direct – indirect) issued by a public insurance agency (EFKA – National Social Security Entity) with the submission of: A.M.K.A. – Social Security Number, Α.Μ.Α. – Social Security Member Registration Number, A.F.M. – Taxpayer Identification Number
    or Insurance policy by a private insurance company.
  4. Certified photocopy of the Special Identity Card for expatriates of the spouse.
  5. Death certificate of the sponsor in case of death

or

Divorce decree or annulment of marriage in case of divorce, officially certified and translated

or

Certified photocopy of a new lease agreement or E9 for a self-occupied property, in case of proven termination of the marital relationship

or

Certified copy of the complaint submitted to a competent Greek authority in case of domestic violence

or

Any other evidence indicating particularly difficult circumstances

  1. Documents for the issuance of the card:
    • Four (4) recent, colored, passport-sized photos(40x60mm without a frame/high resolution/on a white background/neutral face expression, etc.), submitted also in digital form on an optical storage disk (CD) in JPEG 2000 format.
    • Card fee of 16 Euroscovering the printing of the separate document (electronic residence permit) (e-Paravolo / fee code 2119).
    • Official public document from the country of birth or origin, officially certified and translated, clearly stating the place of birth. The translation must also indicate the place of birth in Latin characters.(To be provided only if the passport does not show the place of birth in Latin characters)

The above residence permit is renewed on the grounds of one of the rest categories of Law N4251/2014.
