7.3 Parents of Greek Minors Article 87 (Law 4251/14) – Initial Issuance or Change of Residence Purpose

Fee: NO

  1. Certified photocopy of a valid passport or other travel document recognized by our country and/or, if there is a previous residence permit, certified photocopies of all pages of the passports covering the period of its validity.
  2. Residence permit or a copy of one of the following documents certifying legal residence in Greece: Type C entry visa/entry stamp or Type A certificateor Special Certificate of legal residence or Special Identity Card for Greek Expatriates (Ε.Δ.Τ.Ο.) or Identification Document of Recognized International Protection Beneficiary or Identification Document of an Applicant for International Protection, along with evidence of at least one year of residence in Greece prior to the birth of the child, or residence permit from another EU Member State provided that, on the date of submission, no more than three months have passed since the date of entry.
  3. Printout of insurance capacity (direct – indirect) issued by a public insurance agency (EFKA – National Social Security Entity) with the submission of: A.M.K.A. – Social Security Number, Α.Μ.Α. – Social Security Member Registration Number, A.F.M. – Taxpayer Identification Number
    OR Insurance policy by a private insurance company.
  4. Certificate of family status indicating Greek citizenship.
  5. Birth certificate of the minor Greek national showing the relationship between parent and Greek citizen.
  6. Documents required  for the issuance of the card:
    1. Four (4) recent, colored, passport-sized photos(40x60mm without a frame/high resolution/on a white background/neutral face expression, etc.), submitted also in digital form on an optical storage disk (CD) in JPEG 2000 format.
    2. Card fee of 16 Euroscovering the printing of the separate document (electronic residence permit) (e-Paravolo / fee code 2119).
    3. Official public document from the country of birth or origin, officially certified and translated, clearly stating the place of birth. The translation must also indicate the place of birth in Latin characters.(To be provided only if the passport does not show the place of birth in Latin characters)

NOTE

In case you hold a Type A Application Certificate (Blue Certificate) issued by the Ministry of Migration and Asylum as the parent of a Greek minor (humanitarian reasons), it is not possible to reapply with this legal document for the issuance of a residence permit as the parent of a Greek minor (5 years).
