Duration: 5 years

1. Certified photocopy of all pages of passports or travel documents from the last 5 years.
2. Residence permit.
3. Electronic fee of 150 Euros (fee code 2107)
4. Printout of insurance capacity issued by a public insurance agency (EFKA – National Social Security Entity) with the submission of: A.M.K.A. – Social Security Number, Α.Μ.Α. – Social Security Member Registration Number, A.F.M. – Taxpayer Identification Number for the full coverage of healthcare costs for the applicant and their dependent family members.
5. Copy of the latest tax clearance certificate or other official document proving that the applicant has an income equal to the annual earnings of the minimum wage earner, according to the national legislation, increased by 10% for all family members.
6. Copy of the contract for the purchase of a privately owned residence or an Electronic Lease Agreement in force, or a contract for the property certified by the Tax Office, or the current year’s (electronic) submitted tax return, listing the tenants or owners by name and passport number. In case of property subleasing, copies of forms E1 and E2, where the owner declares that he/she grants the applicant the specific house, for the use of which he/she does not collect rent.
7. Special certificate of sufficient knowledge of the Greek language and elements of Greek history and culture issued by the General Secretariat for Lifelong Learning (Level A2+).

or a graduation certificate – of at least compulsory education – from a Greek school in Greece (Junior High School or High School, including Vocational Senior High Schools (EPAL) and Vocational Schools (EPAS)).

or a graduation certificate from high schools abroad which belong to the Greek educational system.

or a recognized graduation certificate from Greek language departments in foreign universities,

or certificate of at least B1 level of attainment in Greek

or Permanent Residence Card of a family member who is Greek.

or a relevant recommendation from the naturalization committee according to Article 12 of the Greek Citizenship Code.

or valid proof of legal residence in Greece for a period of twelve years at the time of application (Temporary Residence Permits are not accepted, only permanent ones, i.e.  not Certificates, Asylum Seeker IDs, etc.).

8. Documents required for the issuance of the card:
   • Four (4) recent, colored, passport-sized photos(40x60mm without a frame/high resolution/on a white background/neutral face expression, etc.), submitted also in digital form on an optical storage disk (CD) in JPEG 2000 format.
   • Card fee of 16 Euroscovering the printing of the separate document (electronic residence permit) (e-Paravolo / fee code 2119).
   • Official public document from the country of birth or origin, officially certified and translated, clearly stating the place of birth. The translation must also indicate the place of birth in Latin characters. (To be provided only if the passport does not show the place of birth in Latin characters)

NOTE:

A prerequisite for being granted a Long-term resident status is permanent residence in the country for at least the last five (5) years prior to the submission of the application. Any absences should not exceed six (6) consecutive months, for one consecutive absence, and ten (10) months in total in the 5-year period.
